man has shared the story of a family friend to explain how risky it is to rent a shop in a big market without spiritual backing.

 

He wrote on X: "Someone close to my wife quit her corporate job and opened a business in one of the popular markets in Lagos. She was selling raw foodstuffs. She contacted my wife to patronize her and help her tell more people. When my wife told me about it, I jokingly asked if her friend was ready for that journey because you must have been 100% ready and sure of yourself before renting a shop in the middle of a market in this part of the world.

 

"Well, after in and out of the hospital for about 6 months, she is supporting her husband's laundry business now.

 

"You no dey go church, you no dey go mosque, you no sabi laalu ogiri oko, you go dey rent shop for market place..."
