2Baba Appointed Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach in Benue State

Nigerian music icon Innocent Ujah Idibia, better known as 2Face Idibia or 2Baba, has been officially appointed as the Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach to the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.

The announcement was made in a video that has now gone viral, capturing the moment Governor Alia commended the award-winning singer for his longstanding commitment to the state and his positive influence across Nigeria’s entertainment landscape.

“Let me thank you very deeply for supporting my administration and for preparing me for 2027,” Governor Alia stated. Praising 2Baba’s legacy, he continued, “And I feel it will not be out of place at all because you are a guru of entertainment. Once you say 2Face, people start dancing, even without the song.

So we are happy you’re here on behalf of the Benue State government and our very good people who want to give you more responsibility plus the ones you have been doing because you have the capacity to do some more and help us chart a way forward to improve other people’s lives and to gain more from your wisdom and advisement as well.

So I’m pleased to announce that we would make you a technical advisor to the Governor on entertainment and community outreach.”

2Baba, who hails from Benue State, has long been an advocate for peace, youth empowerment, and social development. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to bridge the gap between government and grassroots communities through music, culture, and meaningful outreach.
